Imposter Amoung Us

John Carpente's The Thing (1982) was a movie I watched as a kid and wasn't able to express how much I just loved it, the concept intriged the shit out of me, and when the among us fad happened I felt like I was going crazy for not being taken serious when recommending the movie.

There's something to be said about not being able to trust a movie, the paranoia of watching the characters interact not knowing if they're gonna be alive the next scene, The Invasion of the Body Snacthers did it pretty well too and I really believe everyone should watch those movies, not only because they're cool, but the concepts still hold up and can generate interesting convos. The reason I say this is because it seems a lot of movies are more straight forward with their stories and seeing those early on made me realise the potential in subverting expectations to the point the viewer doesn't even know what to expect.

All in all I can't see myself watching much more "An imposter amoung us" type movies, maybe it got saturated for me, maybe I developed some kind of ego, or maybe is the lack of gambling possibilities for who's gonna live.
